The October birth flower is the Marigold, symbolising winning grace, protection, comfort, healing, and lovableness.
If your birthday falls in September, the flower associated with that month are the aster and the morning glory.
Asters are mainly symbols of powerful love. Perhaps because of their positive symbolism, according to folklore they were once burned to ward off serpents.
The other September flower is the morning glory. Morning glories are simple symbols of affection.
Those who rise early may be able to watch their lovely blooms open. Morning glories generally curl closed late in the day.

Happy Birthday for August!
The August birth flowers are the gladiolus and the poppy.
The gladiolus, or ‘sword lily,’ represents remembrance, calm, integrity, and infatuation.
Gladiolus indicates that the heart is being “pierced with love.”
The other August flower is the poppy:
- A red poppy signifies pleasure;
- A white poppy is given for consolation; and,
- A yellow poppy wishes wealth and success.
The July birth flower is the water lily, which signifies purity and majesty.
Aside from being lovely in their own right, water lilies are often used in ponds to deter the growth of algae and to shade and cool the water for resident fish and frogs.
If your birthday is in the month of June, your associated birth flower is the white rose, which signifies love, and devoted affection! Happy birthday for June!

Chrysanthemums, sometimes called mums or chrysanths, symbolize optimism and joy. They’re the November birth flower, the 13th wedding anniversary flower and the official flower of the city of Chicago. In Japan, there’s even a “Festival of Happiness” to celebrate this flower each year.
Mother’s Day is when traditionally Australians present their mums with a bunch of chrysanthemums. Chrysanthemums are naturally in season in Australia in autumn, so are plentiful in time for Mother’s Day. The cut flowers can easily look good for up to three weeks in a vase. To get the best from a bunch, change the water regularly and re-cut stems every few days.
